Election 2008 - SENKYO, Voter Rally Percussion Rhythm for Drums and Voices

This is a hand drum rhythm piece, with accompanying bass drum, bell, and shaker rhythm patterns. The bass drum patterns, as well as the bell and shaker patterns are optional, as they are supportive rhythms for the main melodic and thematic hand drum patterns. The title though reminiscent of African language dialects, is a Japanese word, one that means, campaign, election, or, "VOTE" which is our civic responsibility, a voice for the people. The voice chant is to energize and invigorate people to be socially responsible. Each chant part mimics the corresponding hand drum part. Shout it loudly! The bell parts support the hand drum rhythms and are in a call and response rhythmic pattern.

Play it lively and with spirit. This rhythmic piece, playable at rallys, functions, gatherings as well as drum circles, can be a rhythmic, percussive voice for organizers, planners, and ordinary citizens. So let's Get Out The Vote!
